A fine Friday evening at the ballpark with the girlfriends, and one of their husbands :)
I finally got the nerve to ask my favorite sax player for a photo, he is a staple and a gem to hear at the Oakland/Coliseum Bart station (which also connects to the OAK airport).
Mi cell phone is not the ideal to take face images with that magic hour glare, but I'm thinking of making a drawing of him and giving it to him. I think he'd like it.

Around Cortland, in Bernal Heights.
Around the Dogpatch.
Hadn't stopped by the dogpatch saloon since its remodeling, and it looks good. great spot to stop by on a sunny Sunday. The nice barista gal working there got me a little glass to taste the local Almanac beer IPA, as I had yet to see it on draft in town, but went for the ACME ale.
And a badass Sunday sunset after a short walk with good friends.
* Seems like Flickr changed its html simple embedded links, so let me know if the images don't show :/ slow, or look wonky. Not sure if this has any effect at all. Anyway.
All fotos taken with mi mobile Nexus thing.
Pinhole coffee is my favorite of the new coffee shops.
It is on Cortland in Bernal Heights and each time I have visited, the staff is pretty mellow and friendly and has very cool music. I don't mind music in coffee shops but for some reason hearing the Brian Jonestown massacre, black angels, dead weather and chicano batman on various stops here, makes it for a next level stay while sipping their divine caffeinated elixirs.
I know many matteo baby boys and toddlers. The Jennifer of their generation.
They brew a variety of local roasters and the beans used for my coffee this one last visit was by Verve, the good cafecito company out of Santa Cruz.
There is the cutest stripey wall with bold red letters that read PINHOLE but have been hesitant to take a foto since there is usually people enjoying their coffee right underneath it. anyway.
Also, how cute are these dogs ♥ [notice the one peaking in from the first picture above]
got a sticker this time, to add to my drawing pad. swoon ×
buckets of beautiful sunflowers on union street.
there is (are) a lemon tree on top of these flowers.
wrecking ball on union street pulls a delicious espresso, great little coffee shop. also, super fun wall paper - it is popular with the selfie population…
here are two better shots of the wallpaper from September, last year.
