It's your birthday, so come and get your heart.

Tony Bennet first let the word know that he left his heart here in San Francisco in 1962.
He was born Anthony Dominick Benedetto on August 3rd, 1926 in Astoria Queens, New York.
Sounds pretty sharp for 86. The secret must be in that Campari...

get your heart back!
Tony is often in the Bay Area, somehow I manage to miss him, I have yet to catch one of his shows…

He is also known for his paintings, he not only did the duet with Lady Gaga, but drew her // link hereBelow a video of opposite ends of the Italian-American entertainer generations, part of his infamous recent series Duets II.

Tanti Auguri, Tony.

When I'm small in Chicago.

Scott from Chicago sent over this video promoting Bike Week Chicago (June 11-15), which I'm a little late for but had to share, it's short+sweet, visually nice.

You had me at Chicago, but what hooked me is its song. I first heard Phantogram's "When I'm Small" while stuffing my face in a Holiday party last year. Some of their songs have the extremely similar features of the love child of early Blonde Redhead + Massive Attack / listen +you'll know if you know.  Also below is the song played in the Chicago bike video is the Phantogram official video: SEKSI.

Phantogram is from NYC, not sure where that bra is from.

Both included below. Thanks for sharing the Chicago video, Scott.

back to earth

A few days ago, local film maker El Zumpango sent an update on his second video of the series he has crafted. Glad to see these series have started to circulate+make the blog rounds. They feature good spots around the bay (previous video was the Oakland/East Bay rolling hills), good people on bikes and an overall positive soft tone within.
S24O from Fremont, CA to Samuel P. Taylor state park.
Turn the volume up. Way up.
Music: Drone by ELLUL
