bikeNOPA Block Party!

This past Sunday, Michael from bikeNOPA teamed up with the SFBC and rocked a Block Party, SundayStreets-style. The energy was so high, children were smiling non-stop and there were zooming bikes everywhere.

The block party took place on Grove, between Baker and Lyon st. in the north of the panhandle area. It was a beautiful sunny day, staple summer Sunday we all patiently wait for all day. There were a number of rock-star volunteers from the neighborhood association, SFBC and the YMCA. There was coffee, cupcakes, music and a great sense of community.

Thanks to Michael and everyone that helped organized this, the vision and the action of organazing events like these, and making them happen, is inspirational. This is a set-up for all of us in all different neighborhoods around the city, to come together and follow up on examples as such. Get to know your neighbors and enjoy the streets. Great job!!

♥And here are some photos.
