Yes, this is our July – he is wearing a beany. Was (or felt like) in the low 50°s the afternoon I took this.

  1. after a life time in the Northeast- I think I could handle a july like that just fine. 90 degrees can suck it. I much prefer spring and fall anyway here. Plus as I've heard for so many years from West coasters- " I can drive to the heat or snow whenever I want." I'll take it AND that bike lane too.

( I went to a wedding in late june. Flew in the SF wearing a tank dress and tiny NYC summer cardie. Froze my ass off that night. Next day up in the valley in a sari and sweated like a big. If I had known I would have been more thoughtful about my clothing choices although saris are made to sweat in so that would have remained the same... mama v

  4. Ah yes, layers, layers. Seems like I start out the morning in foggy Glen Park and shed various items through the Mission and downtown...

  5. You know what Mark Twain said- "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

  9. Sort of like our early June in Flagstaff. I was wearing gloves on my bike every morning. The cool weather will probably beginning rearing its head mid-August. Anyway, love the public transit shots and the painted bike lane.
