Dynamic Duo week: Red tandem

♥The Dynamic Duos are back once again! I'll be posting a small collection I have gathered of fantastic pairs, couples or friends spotted while riding San Francisco's bike lanes. Enjoy!
And tandems are abundant this week. I caught up with this awesome tandem duo during the San José Bike Party. They are also from the City – so adorable!!

Dynamic Duo week: Tandem two

♥The Dynamic Duos are back once again! I'll be posting a small collection I have gathered of fantastic pairs, couples or friends spotted while riding San Francisco's bike lanes. Enjoy!
Ran into this fabulous pair on Taraval and 21st Ave. If there is any standard to the high levels of awesome+romantic+fun in San Francisco, you are looking at it. Take your picnic/concert/date/outing to the next level and take some notes.
Loved running into them – Red Schwinn tandem, wine picnic pannier rack, chucks, high-heeled boots and earrings to match the tandem, nonetheless.

Humpday inspiration: Tandem tango.

Seeing a tandem on the streets brings me an immediate smile, no matter the place, the mood, the situation. Receiving this email from Walter, made my smile so big time – and here is to share that bliss with all of you.
QFC! ‹as in QUE-FREAKIN-CUTE› *term coined by your glitteratti duo calitexican et moi.
♥Thanks so much for sharing, you lovely duo!!

the cutest... ever.

"A disgustingly cute, bikable valentine's day date:
Not being from SF, alexandra had no bike here, so we went on a long ride on this tandem bike. we tied balloons to it! coffee, gg park, ocean, pillow fights, dolo park range. but to be clear: it was
purely coincidental that we were dressed the same. That was too much, i know, and i've apologized. but makes it even more disgustingly cute. our friends drinking tecate in the park *said* it was so cute.

i learned that everyone loves a tandem bike on valentines day. she learned that biking is in fact the best way to go anywhere in san francisco."

Speaking of tandems.

And if you thought butterlap was hilly and somewhat hard (ok, well it is kinda...) how is a tandem to answer your doubts +++CHECK+++
Of course, had to be the deepsaurus way and his lovely lady friend. None the less

Tandemtastic times!

deep orange, butterfly and butterfly head.
Friday afternoon, deep and I decided to finally get our tandem tango on. We had planned forever, but somethings happen better on the go. Anyhow, we met up to go for a ride, decided to put our bikes down and picked up the tandem. Did a little mural loop around the Mission, looking for deep's new background phone picture ;) stopped by Anthony's cookies for himself and got me some four barrel coffee. Then we people watched at the park, Omar joined us and chatted some more. Not bad for a fine Friday afternoon.

Schwinn is swooon! /24th st.

The coolest thing about tandem's is people smiling. Tandems make people happy, and being the chatterboxes deep and I are, we came across Sophia. She was taking pictures in one of the allies. She said she hadn't ridden a bike in years. So deep said, 'Okay, that's it - I'm taking you for a spin!' and there you have it. They went around the block and it was very cool, Sophie stay in touch okay!!

The lovely Anthony and his cookie crew. Anthony's cookies will soon carry four barrel coffee.
Now, my non-sweettooth-self will be able to join my cookie monster friends -Nice!

so after the cookie pit stop, we stopped for coffee. /four barrel vip parking

Hump Day Inspiration: Tandemtastic!!

This little surprise package I received was the cause of a gigantic smile. I'll be wearing this sweet gift soon :) Oh I'm in love with this neckalce♥!!!
The details in this Aussie-designed piece are just beyond impeccable. You are able to see what's in the basket and the adorable designer's pet, whose name is Duffy. My cat Velcro won't get jealous at all, the dog is on a fabulous tandem afterall. So cute

Two is better than one

What to do with a tandem? Drag as many friends as you can and go ride.
Before I returned the tandem on Saturday, we had to go for a morning coffee ride & some food. I finally got to ride the back of the tandem and it was pretty cool!
You can even let the handlebars go and carefully snap some pics, or do whatever. Not so nice I guess, in case you like to be in control of speed, brakes and direction... Anyways, 24 hours of the tandemlicious session were up, but those things are sure loads of fun.

Who's next?

Double trouble

I hadn't been to Critical mass in ages. I hadn't seen this good friend of mine on a bike, even longer than that...
On Friday, I went to rent me a tandem (my brain creatively misfires here and then) and decided to pick her up for critical mass ride. She had no idea because we were just meeting for happy hour drinks or something girlie like that. Yeah, kind of a surprise but the weather was so nice and clear who would say no to such fun ride, right? She is not a bike rider at all – so it was nice to hear she had a blast.
I felt bad that we got into a slow-fall incident (fast teenager with lose clothes=handlebar tangle mess)
Sorry :( for her knee but, that is super gnarly scar waiting to happen. ♥Ride on girlfriend!

Project BikeWay

How cute is the wonderful Tim Gunn and Portland's finest Leanne in a tandem bicycle??? This was part of the final couple of episodes from this season's Project Runway, which has been more about the drama and emotional breakdowns than actual vava-boom executions.
Oh so cute! and what about a matching helmet? Adorable. Ride on Tim y Leanne!

**update (for Yokota y friends/ This happened upon the finalists working on their final collections. Tim Gunn visited the final 4 in their homes to review before they show the dresses to the judges. Only 3 would go to the final.
The decision came upon judging a wedding dress (Leanne's was beautiful!!) and a bridesmaid dress (Kenley's I'd wear!).
So there are 3 left, all women (about time!! the last few Project Runway winners have been male designers...) and the final episode is next Wednesday. My fave is Leann (I'm in love with this and this dress) but honestly I can see me wearing most of Kenley's dresses. She is good. Read more here
